Broadland Boat Club is a small and friendly club with approximately 30 active members. Through fundraising efforts, we now have a varied range of boats for members to train in. Club boats include fine coxed and coxless quads (sculling) and fours (rowing), doubles (sculling) and pairs (rowing) plus single sculling boats. For coaching sessions there is a coxed eight rowing boat, training sculls as well as a motorised launch boat. Members have free access to club boats once cleared as competent to use them. We are also well stocked with rowing and sculling blades.
Apart from boats, we also have a well equipped gym for land training with good erg machines for crews to warm up on as well as practise their technique and timing. Fitness instructors are often invited to provide fitness support training during the racing seasons.
At the club, we have ladies' and men's changing rooms with shower and toilet facilities. There is also a club house with a good stock of coffee, tea and biscuits where members gather before and after sessions in colder months. In the warmer months, you will always find us sitting outside on bank watching river life pass by.
