Win win win!

What a month it has been, lots of racing and lots of wins for Broadland! The Sudbury regatta proved successful for all 3 crews that entered; 2 mixed doubles and a women’s quad. Fantastic to see them flying down the 650m course and negotiating the sharp bend halfway, it takes a lot of skill! It was a first for one member at her first regatta, and a first for Broadland o come away with 100% wins!!
As the regatta season is coming to an end, many Broadland members have been training hard for the annual Great Ouse Marathon...22km from Downham Market to Ely. 8 crews entering filled the trailer to the max, there has never been such a high number of boats going to the same event (we are a small club!)
Yet again the wind did not make it easy but the sun was shining and the Isle of Ely Rowing Club put on a spectacular bbq for all to enjoy at the end of the course. We had a win for a single, double and quad in their age categories and despite the many aches and pains that followed, everyone came away with a smile on their face.
